English Lessons and Tutoring available in person in Bellingen 2454 NSW (just south of Coffs Harbour), and anywhere in the world on-line via Zoom.Daniel East is an experienced English and literacy tutor with over ten years’ experience working with students across primary and secondary education. He has taught in a range of settings, including one-to-one tutoring, classroom teaching, and specialist literacy programs, supporting learners with diverse needs and learning profiles.
Alongside his teaching work, Daniel is a published writer and creative practitioner, including writing credits within the video games industry (Pretty Simple and Microforte), screenwriting credits for animation companies Gaumont and Cartoon Network and published, award-winning poetry, essays and theatre. This depth of creative experience informs his deep understanding of language, storytelling, and creative expression.
Daniel’s teaching philosophy is informed by neuroscience-based learning principles that value play, curiosity, and engagement as essential components of effective learning. Lessons are structured, supportive and adaptable, with the goal of helping students become confident, independent learners.
